Congratulations on your decision to pursue nursing education at the University of Virginia School of Nursing! We offer exceptional programs for students who want to become a nurse, as well as advanced programs for RNs who want to advance in the profession. The options are many, and the quality remains consistently high across programs. The University of Virginia is consistently ranked as one of the top two public universities in the United States, and the School of Nursing—well-ranked in its own right--is an integral part of a world-class Health System.

Most nursing degree programs have specific admission application deadlines. You are welcome to submit the online application before the dates listed below. The undergraduate, Direct Entry MSN: Clinical Nurse Leader, and Doctor of Nursing Practice admissions committees start reviewing files after the set deadlines. The other graduate programs operate on a rolling admissions basis.
Because the MSN and Certificate programs operate on a rolling admissions basis, spaces fill up early. It is best to apply for these programs well before the deadline below.
