Nursing Alumni Association Funding
Each spring, the Nursing Alumni Council reviews requests for and proposes allocations, approved by the dean of the School of Nursing, of a portion of the Nursing Annual Fund to support projects and priorities within the school. The Council accepts funding proposals from faculty and nursing student organizations on an annual basis for consideration in the next funding cycle. Examples of previously funded proposals are in the current budget.
The next funding cycle will be for the FY 2010-2011 cycle (July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011). Proposals for the next cycle must be received by March 1, 2010.
Departments and organizations that received funds in the previous fiscal year must apply each year if they wish to be considered for continuing funding. All departments and organizations that receive allotments through the School of Nursing Alumni Association are required to submit a report on the use of the funds they receive.
Student groups are encouraged to apply, but a faculty sponsor should endorse the proposal.
Proposals should be as specific as possible, and should include the amount requested, the proposed use/distribution of the funds, and a justification for funding. For information to assist in writing proposals, please see the Council's Funding Guidelines .
