Madeline Hubbard Schmitt, PhD, RN, FAAN, FNAP - Professor Emeritus, School of Nursing, University of Rochester Medical Center
All nursing and medical students and faculty, as well as Nursing Alumni Association members and friends of the School, are invited to attend this annual lecture, followed by a reception in Jordan Hall. There is no fee for the lecture.
Dr. Schmitt will discuss the nature of interprofessional education (IPE), its history and recent re-emergence; best practices in IPE, its evaluation and outcomes; the challenges in integrating IPE into health professions curricula; and IPE initiatives at the University of Virginia.
