CCI now offers virtual live drop in classes every day of the week, with more to come.

Need to work out some of your Zoom meeting fatigue or unwind after a stressful shift in the hospital? 

The UVa School of Nursing’s Compassionate Care Initiative announces a new set of online offerings, brought to you by experienced CCI facilitators, as well as our friends at the UVA Mindfulness Center and the UVA Faculty and Employee Assistance Program(FEAP).    

Beginning the week of April 6, find offerings listed for each day on the CCI calendar.  These offerings include restorative practices, such as yoga, guided meditation and tai chi, plus a daily Mindful Pause at 4:00 p.m. 

You’ll also find unique offerings, such the Compassion in Action series on Mondays at 12 PM, a half hour of talk and interviews, featuring compassionate advocates and leaders from the University and the Charlottesville community.  On Tuesdays at 12:00 noon, join for the fun when the “Dog-ter is in,” with Edie Barbero and Kenny the therapy dog. 

More sessions will be added to the calendar as they are available.  All sessions are free of charge.  To participate, register through the CCI website to receive a Zoom meeting link.
