Cary, who earned a BSN, MSN, and PhD from UVA School of Nursing, leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning to study health disparities related to aging and develops strategies to improve healthcare delivery for diverse older adult populations,. As co-director of HUMAINE - Human-Centered Use of Multidisciplinary Artificial Intelligence for Next-Gen Education and Research - at Duke University School of Nursing, he works to enhance AI literacy among nurses and to promote equitable AI integration in healthcare.
