A Washington, D.C. nurse practitioner and communication trainer who will speak on communication strategies that reduce clinician moral distress and enhance interprofessional collaboration.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

-Define moral distress and describe how it manifests in ICU nursing roles

-Identify at least two communication strategies that reduce moral distress and enhance interprofessional collaboration.

-Demonstrate one skill for responding to emotion in clinical conversation using a simulated patient scenario.

-Reflect on personal and unit-level stressors, and generate one actionable step to promote resilience.

  • Apply presentation concepts to their own clinical practice, professional role, and plan for future scholarly development.
