Kim Dieber and 3 Children
Kim Dieber serves as the primary admissions advisor and recruiter for the School's RN to BSN, ABSN, and three-year transfer program. She's also a UVA doctoral student, and mom to 3 children under 3.

Meet Kim.

Richmond's champion multitasker. Loves to draw, paint, sew, and do photography. Mom to three kids under three (Oliver, Madeline, and Emmet). UVA doctoral student and the primary admissions and recruiter for the School's RN to BSN, its ABSN, and its three-year transfer program.

"I can relate to a lot of our non-traditional students who are juggling work, school, and family responsibilities. I have three children under three and work full-time while taking classes. It’s hard, but it can be done!"

Kim Dieber, Coordinator for Transfer Admissions

WHY CHOOSE UVA SCHOOL OF NURSING?

"We have so many different pathways for students who want to become nurses: there really is something for everybody. I work with prospective transfer students and love telling them about all we offer.

It's also a huge benefit that our programs are direct entry. Plus, classes are small and taught by world-class faculty members. The icing on the cake is that our alumni are guaranteed admission to our nursing graduate programs so they can keep growing in their field. And we have LOTS who decide to return."

BEST PART OF HER JOB

"The best part of my job is the people I work with. I adore my coworkers. Everyone is focused on making sure our students’ needs are met. We’re supportive of each other and always looking for ways to improve. And our students are brilliant and it’s exciting to watch them grow as they work towards becoming nurses."

THE SCHOOL IN A SINGLE WORD?

"Community. It’s an environment like no other. Everyone is there with the goal to care for others. There is so much support within the School of Nursing."
